Pregnancy test-negative??

I just took an Early Response pregnancy test. There was only 1 line and there is nothing else, not even a faint line. It shows as a negative result. I'm confused b/c the FAQ's on the instructions says "A positive result will last for at least 48 hours. A negative result should not be read after 10 minutes." I took the test about an hour and a half ago and the 1 negative line is still showing clear as day. What does that mean?

Pregnancy test-negative??
Sometimes what's called an "evaporation line" will show up after the 10 minutes, making what is really a negative look like a false positive. You shouldn't read the test after the recommended time limit because it is no longer accurate.
Reply:It means your not pregnant. It says not to read after 10 minutes cuz after time a line could faintly appear. Take another test in a day or so.
Reply:The instructions do not say that the negative line will disapear. The negative line will probably still be there tomorrow if you check it. It was talking about an evaportion line that may appear and give you a false reading after ten minutes.
