What the difference in pointe shoe 6.5 Adult:B or 6.5 Adult:C/D/E and so on?

I'm trying to buy a pare from dancewear solutions, but they dont seem to have an FAQ page on shoes. so someone help please? =]

What the difference in pointe shoe 6.5 Adult:B or 6.5 Adult:C/D/E and so on?
The letters are the size of the box. You should buy from a web site though, unless you have tried the shoe on in advance. Go to a local dance store and try on the right pair of shoes, if they are too expensive at the stores (they usually are like $20 more) then remember the brand and size and then go order them online.
Reply:The B C D and E are all widths. I wouldnt buy my pointe shoes online if i didnt know exactly what size i was. you should go get properly fitted and then buy then online if you are happy with the shoes you get. It would not be good if you got the wrong size. You can permenantly hurt yourself if you get the wrong size. Please go get fitted first.
Reply:it's the width of you foot
Reply:It is the width of the shoe. B is typically narrow or medium, and obviously C, D, and E are larger.

You need to be getting pointe shoes professionally fitted if you are not understanding the letters or sizing. Pointe shoe sizes are also not like street shoe. They are usually 2 to 2 1/2 sizes smaller than your street shoe.

I recommend getting them professionally fitted for your safety and comfort. You also should not be en pointe unless directed by a teacher. I cannot stress that enough.

Please go to a shop near you and have employees help you get fitted. It shouldn't take too long and you will find out all you need to know for taking care of them and buying them in the future!
Reply:number is length and letters are width
Reply:You should really get fitted in stores. The process takes up to an hour and you try about 10 shoes on, or until you find the perfect fit.

Letters A-E are width.
Reply:the letters all stand for different things like how wide the shoe is or how long. its just a way of describing the different styles so the ppl fitting u can match ur foot so it fits nice n snug
